A rare tornado outbreak occurred in South Florida on 2/12/2008, prompting 13 tornado warnings with 2 confirmed tornadoes. There were undoubtedly more tornadoes but, due to the rural nature of the Everglades there was no one there to confirm many of them. Some structural and tree damage was reported with each tornado.
